Court Tape, Tested to Failure

Athletic tape has two jobs: stay stuck and come off cleanly. Most tape does one.

We taped fingers and wrists on four players and ran a full-length pickup session in a gym with no air conditioning. The Hoopers tape held at forty minutes on every player, with edge lift on two. That beat one competitor outright and matched another that cost twice as much.

Removal is the surprise. It tears by hand in a straight line, which sounds trivial until you have tried to get tape off with wet fingers.

The knock: the roll is slightly narrow for ankle work. Fine for fingers and wrists, buy something wider for ankles.
